California LLC Statement of Information: due date, fee and how to file
When: A Statement of Information is due within 90 days of forming, then every two years by the end of your formation month. California LLCs also pay an $800 yearly tax; the first payment is due by the 15th day of the 4th month after you form.

Dates assume mid-month formation; for rules tied to your exact formation date, use the day you registered.
What happens if you miss it
Most states add a late fee first. If the Statement of Information stays unfiled, the state can mark your LLC as not in good standing and eventually dissolve it, which can cost you liability protection and your business name.
